Rob Reiner is a seasoned tax attorney whose practice focuses on trust and estate planning and administration; estate and gift taxation; charitable gift planning; family foundations; and business succession planning. He advises individuals, families and closely held businesses, often serving in expanded roles as trustee, executor or director. Clients value his ability to translate complex tax and planning issues into clear, practical guidance and his reputation as a trusted advisor for both immediate needs and long-term planning.

Rob began his legal career after earning a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a J.D., with honors, from The George Washington University Law School and an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.

A founding partner of Joseph, Reiner & Wiernicki, Rob spent nearly four decades building the firm’s practice and reputation for excellence. In 2016, he joined Selzer Gurvitch Rabin Wertheimer & Polott, P.C., where he continues to serve a diverse client base. His practice includes tax and planning work for non-U.S. citizens residing in the United States, including World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) employees. Rob is an active member of relevant tax and estates sections of the Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia Bar Associations.
