Selzer Gurvitch Welcomes Michael Fellerman
Firm Continues Strategic Expansion with Transactional Tax Expertise
Selzer Gurvitch Rabin Wertheimer & Polott, PC (“Selzer Gurvitch”), announced the hiring of Michael Fellerman as a lateral Partner. An experienced transactional tax attorney with a focus on domestic and international real estate and business transactions, Mr. Fellerman will focus on advising clients in corporate/business and real estate matters as well as local, federal and international taxation, estate and gift taxes, tax-exempt matters and will support tax assessments and appeals.

At Selzer Gurvitch, Mr. Fellerman will advise clients on all tax aspects of domestic and international real estate and business transactions and draft the necessary documents, including sales, merger, financing and sophisticated limited liability company agreements. He will draw on his experience structuring transactions and entities using limited liability companies, S corporations, C corporations, partnerships and limited partnerships. Mr. Fellerman will also provide counsel on partnerships and joint ventures, business planning, mergers and acquisitions, business and real estate acquisitions and sales, tax exempt and nonprofit matters and private placement offerings of securities.
Mr. Fellerman was previously a shareholder and co-chair of the tax department at Shulman Rogers and a partner and chairman of the tax department at Linowes & Blocher. He started his career working for a Big Four accounting firm.
Mr. Fellerman holds a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law, his law degree cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and a BS degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Maryland. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Maryland.
The hiring of Mr. Fellerman marks the continuation of a strategic growth plan for Selzer Gurvitch. Earlier this year, the firm seized an opportunity to grow significantly during the pandemic, hiring six attorneys simultaneously. The firm is a leader in both income and estate tax planning, transactional real estate and business matters and possesses a robust land-use and zoning practice.
