Joseph Fried
Associate
Joseph is an attorney in the Trusts & Estates practice group, who works with clients on both estate planning, and trust and estate administration. On the planning side, Joseph creates individualized estate plans that account for their unique circumstances, while considering tax and probate issues. Then, he works closely with family members to administer their trusts and estates as efficiently and practically as possible.
Prior to focusing on trusts and estates, Joseph practiced commercial and civil litigation. Now he uses his litigation background in his estate planning practice to help clients shelter their assets and protect their privacy.
Joseph is a cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. While in school, he interned for the Honorable Robert N. McDonald of the Maryland Supreme Court. He also worked in the Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic where he guided his clients through the Chapter 7 bankruptcy process. In addition, Joseph served as an editor for the Journal of Healthcare Law and Policy.
Joseph is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Estates and Trusts section. He regularly lectures on the topic of estate planning and has served on Q&A panels alongside other professionals.
Joseph enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, competing in his tennis league and playing the piano.
