Over the course of more than 30 years as a practicing attorney, Gene has earned a reputation for creative and highly-effective strategies while representing clients in complex litigation matters.  While he has breadth of experience in the courtroom with cases in a wide variety of areas, the types of litigation cases he focuses on most involve business disputes, breach of contract claims and issues related to building construction.

Gene draws on his unique legal experience to help clients get to the root cause of legal disputes and craft a solution with an eye toward what’s next. He is a problem solver first.  That regularly means addressing the specific legal dispute or issue at hand. Often, however, it also involves probing below the surface to understand the larger problem and resolve it in a way that guards against “out of control” litigation down the road.  Gene has built a solid reputation with clients for taking the time to personally understand their circumstances and needs.  He also prides himself in giving the people and entities that he represents an honest assessment of the situation.

Gene is experienced at representing clients during mediation and arbitration as well.  He is proven to craft resolutions for clients most advantageous to them using a combination of effective negotiation and skillful courtroom advocacy.

Gene’s clients include c-suite executives, entrepreneurs, design professionals, business and life coaches, and consultants.
