Brian Kotzker, a fifth-generation Washingtonian, combines a deep-rooted understanding of the region’s business and real estate landscape with a highly practical, results-driven approach. Leveraging his early career as a Certified Public Accountant and his strategic insight into commercial transactions, Brian has built a reputation as a trusted advisor for clients navigating complex commercial real estate matters and corporate transactions.
With a primary focus on commercial real estate, Brian’s clients include regional real estate investors, developers and property management companies as well as restaurant owners, professional service providers, other attorneys and regional nonprofit organizations. He advises on all aspects of the market, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing for office, retail, warehouse, mixed-use and industrial properties.
In the corporate arena, Brian excels in supporting clients with transactions, contract negotiation and general business law matters, bringing a comprehensive perspective that ensures seamless, integrated solutions. In addition, he represents clients in business disputes, landlord-tenant matters and commercial lending transactions.
Aside from his legal practice, Brian serves on the Board of Directors and chairs the Finance Committee of the Alef Bet Jewish Montessori School in North Bethesda. He also serves as a Director and Officer of a non-profit subsidiary of Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas, Inc.
A graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in accounting and a member of Beta Alpha Psi Honorary Accounting Society, Brian earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Brian was recently elected to the firm’s Executive Committee and serves as Treasurer, further solidifying his leadership role both within the firm and the broader community.
